Winning the heart and soul of South Africa for Mary by spreading the Fatima Message

Winning the heart and soul of South Africa for Mary by spreading the Fatima Message

2026 ROSARY CRUSADE GALLERY

OCTOBER 2026

Saturday, 10 October 2026 marked one more day in SANOL’s prayer crusade to effect a spiritual “turn around” in our country. For the past eleven years South Africa Needs Our Lady has promoted a public Rosary campaign with the intention of changing “hearts, minds and souls” and begging God to pour down graces upon our families, communities and the nation.

Thanks to the valiant dedication and sacrifice of volunteer “Rally Captains,” some 1260 different locations across the country resonated with fervent supplication to Our Lady through the Holy Rosary, beseeching her maternal and merciful intercession in the countless problems confronting our country and its people.

In many instances, the clergy, acting either as captains or in vital support roles, gave invaluable support to this initiative.

I believe our tally this year was a record, but what we would really like to achieve for 2027 is at least 2000 rallies across the country!

PLEASE register already now your intention to participate as a Rally Captain for 16 October 2027, so that we may get the ball rolling early! Simply follow this link…

A huge thank-you to all those who rose to this challenge! There are special graces for those who promote the Rosary. Many challenges present themselves on these occasions when, for example, a funeral somewhere absorbs the normal prayer warriors, or bad weather interferes with the program, etc. But the main object is to pray, offering up all the disappointments of the moment and asking Our Lady to take all our sacrifices and prayers with all their failings, weaknesses and shortcomings, and turn them into channels of grace for the coming of her Reign!

As Sister Lucia said at the promptings of Our Lady, there is absolutely nothing that cannot be solved with the Rosary. It is impossible to over-emphasise this. The Rosary is a miracle prayer, through which God seeks to bring about the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart. Let us redouble our efforts in promoting this devotion, especially towards a huge 2027 turnout!

Our rosary rally was held in a public square, at Saul Tsotetsi Hall. After the Rosary, it rained . As Africans, that to us were showers of blessings. Indeed they were . As we speak now, I'm busy with the project I planned for years . I am so grateful to Our Blessed Mother Mary ! 14 people at our rally.

Our rosary rally was held outside our Parish on the pavement. Parishioners were all excited, especially the ones that were experiencing the rally for the first time. This year we had Catechism kids as well. We had a wonderful response and was blessed with a beautiful day to top it off. Always a truly blessed day. 56 people attended our rally.
Jabulani D
Our rally was in Pretoria Church Square, open space above. 17 people at our rally. As a first time Captain and first time organizer the experience was humbling and moving. You learn the meaning behind Matthew 7:7 (Ask, Seek, Knock). Praying publicly facing the heavens above moved me immensely. Thank you for the opportunity to ask our Lady's intercession as she is with her Son and our Father. Indeed South Africa Needs Our Lady.

The attendance for this year was not as good as last year due to various other events taking place including a funeral. Our rally was held at Woolwich Road Park, Bellair. Having said that the atmosphere was wonderful as we prayed the Rosary together. Being a bilingual parish we alternated between English and isiZulu. 30 people at our rally.

Procession and Rosary: The 20 participants proceeded in procession around the local community, accompanied by singing and prayer. Designated stops were made along the route, with a decade of the Holy Rosary prayed at each stop. The fifth decade was prayed as the procession made its way back towards the parish. Upon arrival at the parish, participants gathered in front of the Grotto, where the final part of the programme was conducted, bringing the procession to a prayerful conclusion. The Rosary Rally was warmly received by participants, with many describing the experience as prayerful, uplifting and spiritually enriching. The procession through the community, the Rosary decade stops and the concluding prayers at the Grotto contributed to a meaningful expression of faith and unity.

Our Rosary rally was held at Stellaland Park, corner Nelson and Market street( main street of Vryburg town). Attendance this year was remarkable with 47 people. We were blessed by the presence of our parish priest, Fr K M.

We were joined by the lady who told us that it was her late mother's birthday and she decided to pray the rosary for her late mother's memory. There were 25 participants and our rally was held at Jubilee Park.

Our Rosary rally was held at the Naval hill in Bloemfontein. The biggest Rally I ever attended. We had 7 males out of 36 attendees. The security wanted to refuse us holding the Rosary on the hill but mother Mary interceded.

Though it was blistering hot, but to come together and pray the rosary and fellowship together was very rewarding spiritually. 30 people at our rally in Vryheid.

The Rally was held at the White shop in Keimoes and walked from there to the school bus stop. The rally was an out of this world experience, although the sun was extremely hot, the children and the community showed up to participate in praying the rosary. There were 90 people at our rally.

Despite humid conditions, all went well. We had visitors from the other parishes including children. Our Parish Priest blessed the day and participated. Thank you, Mother Mary. 45 people at our rally.

Our rally was held at Elizabeth Center, next to Shoprite and Magistrate Court. Westonaria. Again, our rally intersect with some activities affecting parishioners of Immaculate Conception Westonaria; Alterservers had their retreat at our parish, St Ann had the inauguration of their new members and were supported by members of CWLeague and some members affecting the Rally attendance. The rally went ahead regardless and some non-Catholic attended with much interest also. There were 20 people at our rally.

15 Parishioners arrived with chairs to sit under the shade of a tree on the corner of Main Road and Buchanan Street Howick, in front of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. We were a happy group pleased to be praying the Joyful Mysteries, along with the other rallies across the country. We had 2 large banners prominently displayed on the church fence behind us. One in English and one in Zulu. We prayed some of our prayers in Isizulu. We were very grateful for the rally Prayer Programs which made the proceedings easy to follow. Those in attendance expressed their delight at attending.

Our rally was held in the open space outside Merryhill School on the corner of Lenny Nelson Drive & Turnstone Rd. It was well attended (the weather contributed to the good attendance as it was a beautiful day) with most of the attendees having attended in the past. We were also privileged to have Fr. D R join us.

Our rally was held at the Noordwyk public park in Midrand. Since the start of Rosary rally at this park (which was known as notorious place infested with drugs) the park is now a very peaceful place and safe for children to play and it's very close to Midrand primary School, teachers and students can move freely. Thanks to our Mother Mary for interceding for us.

We gathered in the cathedral parking lot and processed to the corner of St. Saviour's and Baron van Rheede streets, where we started praying the Angelus. There were only 10 of us who gathered to pray, but it was nonetheless a deeply meaningful and spiritually rich meeting. Many people saw us but sadly, no-one stopped and joined in the prayers.

We had a prayerful Rosary Rally that culminated with Holy Mass. A powerful reflection in understanding the power of the Rosary meaning. The priest unpacked the Gospel of John, wherein Christ presented his Mother to John and John to Mary as the son. That's the reason why we call Mary our mother. It is biblically that Mary the mother of Christ as the mediator to our struggles and daily challenges, who will ask Christ to intercede. Thank you, Fr R.

Greetings Bernard, we had a good turnout (28) in Somerset West where the weather was beautiful!

A wonderful day well spent, St Kizito family✝️ I had to merge with my fellow captain to pray the Rosary as many people had other commitments, but wow..all thanks and Glory to God, we did it, only five people made it. May God continue to bless and strengthen them.

Rosary Rally was held at the Look Out point in Ladysmith, KwaZulu Natal. 9 people attended the Rosary Rally. We have decided that we are going to try and do it every 2nd Saturday of the month from next month.

Good day - Rosary Rally October 2026. A beautiful day. The Rally went extremely well, full of spirit, joyous singing. We started at the school car park with the rosary and all the prayers, then proceeded to join the Main road at the traffic circle and along that road to the Cathedral and back to the school. I'm however disappointed at the poor turnout. There is always a lot of activities on Saturdays and people prefer to go there. Have a Blessed day further Thank you, Bernard, for your kind words - the enthusiasm of those present made it all the worthwhile. I nearly didn't make it - Thursday & Friday I couldn't stand - I took pain tabs and forced myself to do the Holy Hour last night and ask the Sacred Heart of Jesus to help me through today. MARY OUR MOTHER & JESUS OUR SAVIOR HELPED me through it. ALL PRAISE AND GLORY TO THEM. 🙏🏻🙌🏻 I am in a lot of pain now but all for the Love of GOD. THANK YOU FOR ALL THE GREAT WORKS YOU AND YOUR TEAM DO FOR THE LORD. HEAVEN IS YOURS. GOOD NIGHT AND ALL GODS BLESSINGS 🙌 ❤️🌹

We had a beautiful sunny prayerful afternoon, we could not even leave still chatting about the peace our Country Needs especially with all the noise happening in Durban CBD, how we need to bring back prayer in our school and our homes. We trust with the intercession of our Mother Mary all our prayer requests will be heard and answered by Our Lord 🙏🛐

Good day Bernard and the team. One of the best decisions we made was to join your group. So satisfying and humbling to be able to get these people together and pray for Our Lady's help for South Africa. God bless you all. Keith and Veronica G

We had a reasonably big group this time. It was hot and we placed the chairs in the grotto where there was shade, some of the ladies are no more as young. We had a very fruitful day of prayer. Our Priest got a banner from a lady (Cecilia) who have moved to us from Durban. We put it at the entrance. I saw our Priest on Sunday as he could not attend due to being busy with confirmation class interviews. He told me everyone was talking highly about the Rally. It felt showered with the Holy Spirit. We put Roses at Mother Mary's statue. Thank you for introducing this to us🙏❤️🌹

This is St Patrick's Parish in Empangeni, Diocese of Eshowe KZN, celebrating the Rosary Rally held on 10 October 2026. We prayed all the Four Mysteries of the Holy Rosary. This was a very fulfilling exercise for us journeying with Mother Mary to Christ Jesus our Saviour. Our Parish Priest Fr X. Z joined us in this campaign. Thank you SANOL for supporting us with the materials.

Dear South Africa Needs Our Lady Team, Praise Jesus and Mary. Our Lady was truly in our midst. Thank you for our 2026 Rosary Rally resources: Prayer Programmes, Manuals, registers, Invitation Posters — all received and well used. We gathered at the beautiful Grotto with Our Lady statue and flowers. Opening: Immaculate Heart of Mary song. Hearts prepared, Prayer Programmes shared. Ready for mission. Procession from Grotto to busy road, singing and standing on open ground by busy road, under trees, prayer papers and rosaries in hands, traffic behind us. We sang and prayed aloud — public heard the sound of praying Rosary. Sacred moment by the roadside. Table with Our Lady statue and Roses offered to Her — so divine, Banner lifted high: "PRAYING THE ROSARY FOR SOUTH AFRICA — Come and join us" On this spot we prayed at 12h00. Cars passed, people stopped — South Africa witnessed. Singing andJoyful return to Grotto Group photo under flower arch, well attended, men, women, youth, Sodalities, Faces shining with graces. Closing prayer by St Anne Sodality member. Abundant blessings showered. What a Divine and Sacred Public Rosary. We felt Our Blessed Virgin Mary's presence and Triumph of Immaculate Heart already begun. We have filled our corner of South Africa with Rosary. May Our Lady bless all Captains and participants. In Jesus through Mary, Busiswe X Our Lady of Lourdes Rivonia

My rally was very impressive with attendees willing and actively participating. I think we should keep on trying our best by advertising the need and importance of the rally and date.

There were 7 people at my rally, as attendance was poor, but it went well. Youth involvement was encouraged especially to lead the rosary prayers. We will continue to motivate our people about the importance of the rosary rally and continuous rosary prayers for families. My personal opnion is to show them the pictures from other parishes about previous and present rosary rallies as a motivation to instill participation in the coming rosary rally.

Rally was held in Allenby Road Park in Redhill at 12 noon. It was attended by 21 adults and 5 children. There was full participation with different ladies leading. The program provided was followed to the "T." It was enjoyed tremendously bay all who attended including the children. They are eager to do it again next year. I will be captain again in 2027.

On Saturday, 10 October 2026, the Nationwide Rosary Crusade was observed by the Catholic faithful across the country. At Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish in Midrand, within the Archdiocese of Pretoria, six meeting points were identified to facilitate the participation of parishioners in this important occasion of prayer and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The event was attended by 14 participants, comprising both young and older members of the community. Their presence reflected a shared commitment to prayer, faith, and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The participation of people across different age groups was encouraging. The gathering provided an opportunity for the faithful to come together in public prayer, strengthen their spiritual bonds, and bear witness to their Catholic faith within the local community. We thank God for the opportunity to participate in this nationwide spiritual initiative and pray that the fruits of the Rosary Crusade may strengthen our families, our parish, our country, and the wider world.
